Cottage Food Business

Maryland’s Cottage Food Law allows food entrepreneurs to produce qualified goods on a small scale, with restricted channels, out of a home kitchen without specific licenses or permits. Although this law provides a great stepping stone for some entrepreneurs to get a business started, it is important to understand which products qualify and how to appropriately package and sell your goods.
