.In December 2020, Kaiser Permanente purchased a 23-acre site in Waldorf for a new facility that is strategically positioned to serve its Southern Maryland customer base. This multi-phase development will provide services to Kaiser Permanente's 17,000 members in Charles County and neighboring counties. The company is currently in the process, with the state and county, to secure all required approvals to ensure traffic safety and adequate public facilities and hopes to be able to share more details about the facility and a timeline as they are confirmed in 2025.
