Lucinia Mundy serves as Business Development Specialist with the Charles County Economic Development Department. Prior to joining the Department in 2016, Ms. Mundy worked in the Charles County Government’s Department of Fiscal and Administrative Services, Purchasing Division as the Purchasing Programs Outreach Administrator for more than three years. In that role, she helped to implement the Small Local Business Enterprise program's outreach, business certification and public relations programs. Additionally, she assisted with creating policies, procedures and processes for using agencies and small businesses. Ms. Mundy also revitalized and managed the County’s Minority Business Enterprise program. 

Ms. Mundy brings more than 20 years of experience to the Department. Before working with the Charles County Government, Ms. Mundy worked at Prince George’s Community College, where she helped implement the college’s first Hospitality and Tourism Institute. Ms. Mundy also spent 17 years as a Community Affairs Analyst for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. In 2003, Ms. Mundy created a private commercial retail and office space small business incubator that allowed entrepreneurs to test their business ideas prior to signing expensive leases to rent commercial space.

Ms. Mundy holds a Master of Science in State and Local Government from the University of Maryland University College. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Information Systems from Strayer University.

In her spare time, Ms. Mundy volunteers to work with organizations that are dedicated to improving the local and global economy. Most recently, she worked with the Charles County Commission for Women. She also enjoys spending time with her husband of 26 years and their two daughters.
