Anthony Twyman

MWBE/DBE Compliance Manager

Anthony Twyman serves as the MWBE/DBE Compliance Manager at the Charles County Economic Development Department (EDD). He plays a crucial role in ensuring contract adherence to federal and state laws, as well as Charles County procurement policies. His main focus is monitoring compliance with the County’s Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) program and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program.

Mr. Twyman brings over 20 years of experience in multiple disciplines, including accounting, payroll, financial analysis, tax return preparation, budget formulation and execution, and administration.  He most recently worked for MGM National Harbor as an Assistant Manager of Purchasing Compliance where he oversaw compliance regarding supplier diversity, diversity certification, gaming licensing, and contracts.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maryland, University College.

A native of Washington DC, Twyman lived there for 30 years before moving to Charles County in 2014. He enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, reading, apologetics, teaching Sunday School, building, woodworking, and home remodeling.
