Martin Proulx serves as the Agriculture Business Development Manager at the Charles County Economic Development Department (EDD). His responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for agricultural businesses, as well as developing, implementing, and administering programs and initiatives to promote and enhance the County's agricultural industries. He is also responsible for establishing and expanding partnerships with key agricultural stakeholders throughout Charles County.

Mr. Proulx brings to the EDD experience in local agriculture and community sustainability. Prior to joining the Charles County EDD, Mr. Proulx spent three seasons managing the Howard County Global Farmers Markets, where he orchestrated, promoted, and grew several producer-only markets with an emphasis on connecting residents to local farms and educating the public. He also served as Assistant Manager of The Roving Radish, a Howard County-sponsored meal delivery program, which aims to make fresh food and healthy meals accessible to county residents.

Mr. Proulx graduated from Frostburg State University with a Bachelor of Science, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in marketing.

Outside of work, Mr. Proulx frequents local farmers markets and maintains his own garden. He also enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with family.
