In recognition of Women’s History Month, we wanted to bring attention to six fabulous women business owners who recently graduated from our Business Growth Advantage Program (BGAP). Congratulations to each of you!

Chinyere N. Eze, PA-C, Eze Health Center

Eze Health Center provides quality, patient-focused healthcare services including Primary Care, Medical Weight Loss, and Aesthetics (Body Contouring & Skin Rejuvenation). Their unique, holistic approach to healthcare focuses on nutrition and lifestyle to help patients achieve their health and wellness goals.

FROM CHINYERE: BGAP was an enriching and empowering experience for me, as I had the opportunity to tap into resources to help me take my business enterprise to the next level. I am grateful to the excellent facilitators, mentors, and business coaches who created this amazing curriculum that helped me learn the essentials of scaling my business, marketing, strategic financial management, and recruiting. I have implemented what I've learned, and I'm already seeing positive results.

Shelly R. Duelley, Clean It Is, Inc.

Clean It Is has been in business for 25 years and is a professional cleaning service specializing in residential, commercial, and construction cleanings in the local area. They service Charles, Calvert, St. Mary’s, and Prince George’s Counties, but they are not limited to those areas.

FROM SHELLY:  I learned A TON in the BGAP program and have shared it with so many local businesses who have already applied. I learned how to use a cash flow chart, which has been a huge help. I also learned about numerous government contract sites and certification requirements, which was my goal for taking the program. I truly feel so blessed and thankful for this opportunity.

Tabitha Richardson, NextHome Leaders

NextHome Leaders has been serving Maryland since 2012 with a mission to educate more people of color on the importance of using real estate to build generational wealth for their families.

FROM TABITHA: As a recent graduate of the BGAP program, it has helped me to think further into the future of how I can have a greater impact in my community. This program has forced me to take more time to work on my business instead of constantly grinding in the business.  I look forward to implementing the growth plan I created over the next 12 months.

Tisha McFarland, Honey Bun Cake Factory

Honey Bun Cake Factory has a storefront in Bryans Road and specializes in over 80 flavors of honey bun cakes. They supply over 100 restaurants in the DMV area and also have an online store.

FROM TISHA: I learned that I cannot do everything by myself, and it is okay to hire other companies with the specific expertise that I need to help my business. I have hired the companies and can already tell a difference.

Tomie DeLeonard, DNS Corporation

DNS corporation is a small management and consulting services business headquartered in Waldorf. They provide commercial and government customers with program and project management services and information technology service management support.

FROM TOMIE:  The BGAP program is nothing short of amazing!  I learned to have more confidence in what I bring to the table and what benefits I bring to my customers.  I also learned that Cashflow is Queen, and to master this financial tool is to have a much better chance of long-term business success.

Paula Breads, Insured America Inc

Insured America Inc was founded in 2003 to educate federal and postal employees on their benefits packages and provide them with solutions that fill the gaps. Currently, Paula Breads is licensed in 31 states with agents throughout the United States.
