As Research and Special Projects Manager for the Charles County Economic Development Department (CCEDD), Jack Street is a primary source for local statistics on the county’s economic progress, demographics, and workforce data. He is one of our newest additions to the CCEDD team and has already been an asset in pursuing our economic development initiatives. Jack responds to regular data requests. As a strategic thinker, Jack uses his practical experience in analysis, data-driven reporting, client relations, and project management to reinforce the mission of the Charles County Economic Development Department.
Jack’s statistical management provides valuable information for the entire Charles County Economic Development team and offers direction for our department’s overall goals. Using real statistics, CCEDD ensures that all projects, programs, and initiatives have reliable numbers-driven data at their core.
Jack brings a distinct perspective to the Charles County Economic Development Department team. A native of Pennsylvania, Jack attended Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history. Post-graduation, Jack worked in the private sector for a New York-based public relations firm, advising clients on high-profile topics such as net neutrality and national healthcare.
Jack then entered the marketing field and worked with numerous universities, Inc. 5000, and Fortune 500 companies. In this role, he developed multi-channel marketing campaigns, go-to-market strategies, product launches, and tracked advertising performance. In this capacity, Jack gained experience with data and analytics by researching competitive markets and developing reports for clients within the political, B2B tech, issuance, healthcare, and fitness realms.
Now in the government sector, Jack is pleased that his work will have a long-lasting positive impact on the community. “Prior to working with the Charles County Economic Development Department, I mostly worked with large corporations or political groups. I’ve always felt most rewarded when working with grassroots or non-profit organizations,” he remarks.
“In Charles County, there is more connection between the government and its people than I’ve seen in other areas. I feel it builds a stronger community,” Jack states.
One of Jack’s “bucket list” goals is to watch every National Hockey League team in their home stadium. Outside of work, Jack also enjoys working out, playing tabletop games, and grabbing a scoop from Landon's Ice Cream Shop in La Plata. “Not only do they combine some of the most tantalizing flavors,” Jack emphasizes, “…but they also sell pints!”
