Business Expansion and Retention

The EDD business expansion and retention team provides existing businesses and entrepreneurs access to many local, regional, state and federal business resources. From workforce training to sources of financing to networking and more, the EDD will help businesses currently operating in Charles County connect with the right agency or organization to address specific needs. In addition to our network of resource partners, the EDD is part of a “Circle of Services” that includes experts who can provide assistance and information on a wide range of business issues. 

Site Selection Services

For companies considering Charles County for business location or relocation, the EDD serves as a resource to streamline the site selection process and assists companies with support that ranges from identifying buildings and sites, to financing and workforce training, to providing research data and identifying qualified incentives. Services include: Confidential access to local and state officials, real estate professionals, land and building owners, education officials, financial and legal resources, corporate executives, and other key contacts;Customized site and building tours;Facilitating incentives, agreements, and permit expedition.
