The Charles County Economic Development Department (EDD) will celebrate the achievements of local small businesses during our Business Appreciation Week, May 8-12. This annual celebration includes a free Circle of Services webinar, special proclamation by the Charles County Board of Commissioners, business visits, and special ribbon cuttings for two new Waldorf businesses, Minuteman Press Waldorf and St. Burgh’s Wickery.
“The Charles County Economic Development Department is pleased to be hosting its annual Business Appreciation Week to recognize all the incredible businesses that make up our local economy,” said Economic Development Director Kelly Robertson-Slagle. “Charles County businesses provide jobs, products, and services that keep our community strong, and we are excited to celebrate their contributions and continued success.”
On Tuesday, May 2, the Charles County Board of County Commissioners presented a proclamation declaring the week of May 8-12 as Business Appreciation Week. They encouraged all agencies of the Charles County Government and local businesses to support and participate in all activities planned for the week by the Economic Development Department.
On Monday, May 8, we’ll celebrate ribbon cuttings for the above listed Waldorf businesses. On Tuesday, the EDD and its Business Resource Partners will present a free Circle of Services webinar at 9:00 am. Attendees will be able to ask questions in an open, collaborative forum. Also on Tuesday, the EDD will host a BGAP (Business Growth Advantage Program) alumni luncheon, and on Wednesday and Thursday, selected businesses will receive a visit from the Economic Development team.
